Club 100 are hosting this South Peninsula race for a second year after great success last year. This race has it all; A major climb, fast downhills and deceptive flats.
Registration and costs
This event forms part of the WP Road Racing League 2019. Online entries received before midnight on Friday, 12 April, will qualify for club and youth discounts. After this time online entries will close and late registration will be possible on the day at the event. No discounts will apply on the day and the full race fee of R300 will be payable. An additional cash handling fee of R30 will be levied on each cash transaction to cover the cash deposit fees we are charged.

The Third Race of the SRAM WC XCO Series, takes place at Zevenwacht Wine Estate in Kuilsriver on the 27 of April 2019.

Late Entries: These are possible at race registration on the Friday before the event, however there will be an additional late entry fee of R50.
Entry Fee: This year, we are doing away with the Series Membership Fee, but the cost of each race entry will be higher. We are still planning on free goodie bags for those who enter the WC Champs.
The race entry fee is R 220 for Nippers and Sprogs and R 340 for all other age groups.
Cycling South Africa Membership and Licence Requirements: To register and race (and to qualify for regional or provincial colours), South African riders must hold a valid Cycling South Africa Membership or Cycling South Africa Full Racing Licence at the time of entry.

Official and Compulsory Practice: There will be an official practice on Saturday 27 April 2019, from 7:00 to 8:00. It is compulsory for Nippers and Sprogs to practice the course. This is for their safety – to give parents and riders the opportunity to identify which obstacles riders are not competent to ride and to ensure that they do not get lost en route !
If you wish to ride at Zevenwacht on any day before the 27 April, it will not be part of this event and you need to purchase an the relevant entry tickets from the venue and you will be governed by their terms and conditions.

Diamant Estate is situated a comfortable hour’s drive from Cape Town International Airport. Not only is the estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands, but it is conveniently situated about halfway between the towns of Paarl and Franschoek.
The venues itself is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Paarl mountain, while breathtaking views from the front include an expanse of manicured lawns, vineyards and majestic Oak trees. You might even catch a glimmer of Table mountain in the distance.

Handicap Racing (Under 17 and 19)
The slowest group will start first, the second slowest group will start a few minutes behind and so on. The time intervals between the different groups is determined by the Handicapper. The Handicapper will take all sorts of things into consideration when determining who is to be in each of the groups and the start interval (riders’ previous race results, who in the various trade teams have entered, weather conditions, course profile, etc).
Separate Racing (Cat3 and Ladies)
The Category 3 and ladies will be on the circuit at the same time. Should the races merge at any time the race that is being caught must be neutralised.

7 City Cycling & Athletic Club are travelling all the way from Cape Town to be the hosts of this WP Cycling Road League event.
The route is a mixture of rolling hills on the one side and a flat sometimes windy section called ‘Waaihoek’ on the other side. The race will cross the Breede River by using the low cement bridge. The weather looks great for Sunday so we shouldn’t experience any problems with the river crossing.
